2018 Holiday Bazaar a Success

Fairbanks—On Saturday, November 24, 2018, the Pioneers joined in the festivities at Pioneer Park by hosting a Holiday Bazaar. While the restored steam locomotive, Old No. 1 ran the rails, visitors milled about, taking advantage of the great deals offered from over 85 vendors during this special day in the park.Well attended with about four times the number of visitors from the previous year, Pioneers sold a variety of handmade crafts, books, calendars, greeting cards, antiques, unique clothing items, winter gear and demonstrations of the Bemer Vascular Therapy system were given. The Pioneer Museum gift shop was open for business and items were brought in from the Kitty Hensley House Museum, which is currently undergoing a facelift for the 2019 season.
