The Pioneers would greatly appreciate your support and the best part is that there are a number of ways to do that at no cost to you!
That's a win-win situation for everyone. The Pioneers gain financial or physical support and as an Alaska history lover you get the satisfaction of knowing your contributions to our organization are being used to help preserve our state's rich history and to assist many of those who were a big part of making that history.
How can you help? Let us count the ways...
How to show us some love
Sign up for the Community Rewards program at Fred Meyer. Link your Fred Meyer Rewards card to the Kitty Hensley House (non-profit number #84736). Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you are helping Kitty Hensley House Museum earn a donation from Fred Meyer. There is no cost to you. You will still earn your Rewards Points, Fuel Points and Rebates, just as you do today.
How to sign up
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON FREDMEYER.COM, use the same email address and password you used to create your account to set up the Community Rewards. Then select the SIGN IN button and proceed to Step 1 below.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT ON FREDMEYER.COM, the first step is to create one. Enter your email address and create a password. Instead of selecting the SIGN IN button, use the CREATE AN ACCOUNT link. (You can check the REMEMBER ME link so you don't have to remember this info the next time you log in. But, make a note somewhere as to what email address and password you used for this account. You'll need it to check your Fred Meyer Rewards, Community Rewards, download Free Friday coupons and add digital coupons to your Rewards Card.)
Steps (after signing into your Fred Meyer account):
- In the search results, select "Kitty Hensley House #84736" and select the ENROLL button.
- You are now enrolled and you should see a message on the next web page under the ACCOUNT SUMMARY heading that verifies your enrollment.
You are done and can sign out of your account. Now, all you need to do is shop as you normally do and make sure to use your Rewards Card each time you make a purchase. Fred Meyer does all the rest.
Thank you for signing up and supporting Kitty Hensley House.
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your favorite charitable organization every time you shop, at no cost to you. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, you’ll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charitable organization. We hope you'll choose the Kitty Hensley House Museum at Pioneer Park.
How to set it up
On your first visit to AmazonSmile at smile.amazon.com, search for and select "Kitty Hensley House" to receive donations from eligible purchases before you begin shopping. You will only need to sign up once. Amazon will remember your selection, and then a percentage of every eligible purchase you make at smile.amazon.com will result in a donation. Thereafter, instead of shopping at amazon.com, do your shopping at smile.amazon.com.

We'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
The Pioneers are always looking for volunteers to help out with numerous projects and to work short shifts in the Pioneer Museum and Kitty Hensley House Museum at Pioneer Park during the summer months. Several non-members enjoy spending time in the museums sharing Alaska's history with visitors. Many dress the part in early 1900s garb and you can, too. It's not a requirement but it is encouraged and it's fun!
Whether you'd like to be a part of short work parties or be a museum docent, let us know. We want to hear from you!
You can become a part of something special by joining the Pioneers. Whether you are interested in historical research, working in a museum, helping our elderly Pioneers, or enjoying social events and participating in stampedes around the state, we have all kinds of projects and activities to keep you busy throughout the year. We do that and more, all while having a great time.
