Fairbanks–On Saturday, May 26, 2018, the Pioneer Museum and Kitty Hensley House Museum at Pioneer Memorial Park will be open to celebrate Fairbanks’ annual Museum Day. Both museums will have mostly home-baked refreshments provided by the Pioneers of Alaska Fairbanks and will be open from noon until 4:30 pm on Museum Day.
Beginning on Museum Day for the duration of the season, “The Big Stampede Show” at the Pioneer Museum will be running 4 times daily at 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm. Tickets are sold at the museum desk: adults $4.00 and children 6 – 16 are $2.00. Children under 6 are free.
Starting May 25, 2018, the Pioneer Museum and Kitty Hensley House Museum will be open from 11:00 am until 8:00 p.m., seven days a week through September 3. The Kitty Hensley House will close at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 15, for the public Felix Pedro Monument rededication ceremony at the monument site on the Steese Hwy.
